Here’s what you can get with your Vivint home system
Unlike most smart home companies, Vivint’s security and automation offerings are available to renters. Here are some of the most popular sensors and services:
Intrusion detection
Door alarms and glass sensors can notify you when an uninvited visitor enters your rental unit. Receive a notification to your phone if an sensor triggers, or activate your alarms and cameras remotely to let in guests or maintenance when you’re not home.
Fire and safety alarms
Ordinary smoke detectors usually come standard with your rental unit, but probably not other safety detectors. Place a wireless carbon monoxide detector or flood detector to warn you and your monitoring agents to problems before it’s too late.
Security cameras
A security cameras can be wirelessly put up so you can keep an eye on indoor rooms. A doorbell camera gives you the option to watch -- and talk to -- visitors at the front door. See live HD feeds and alerts about suspicious movement through the Vivint App.
24/7 monitoring
A big benefit of choosing Vivint is the monitoring team backing up triggered alarms. If a sensor trips, your monitoring team quickly calls you to ensure you’re safe. Then they’ll contact the proper emergency personnel.
Automation devices
Automation items, like smart lights, can be installed to make your rental more eco-friendly. Some devices like a smart thermostat or smart door locks may require prior office approval.
The Vivint App
Your Birmingham security system can be controlled anywhere through the Vivint App. View real-time camera feeds, remotely turn on and off devices, or set schedules for alarms and lights. Then get notifications to your mobile device if a sensor trips or a camera picks up unsavory activity.
